Very interesting video I have found. What are your opinions? I think we might actually have to move to some sort of universal income eventually.
I think we can conclude a few things.
#1 There are a small set of jobs that will never be replaceable
#2 There will be many many jobs that will be replaced by robots in the future. Construction, sales, soldiers, pilots, cooks, etc etc etc.
#3 There will be some increase in jobs to design and repair the robots however not enough to replace the workers replaced by robots.
So the question for me is what will people replaced by robots do for work? Will the cost of living come down to where people can work less and still get by? Will income of irreplaceable workers plummet due to a saturation of people looking for jobs after being replace by robots? Will we ever reach a certain standard where a minimum of quality of life can be reached without having to spend money? It is concerning to think about and in some ways hard to predict. We have already had robots and tools slowly replacing us as workers so at least we have something to base it on.
It is out of my education level to be able to predict what we will see but I am sure some know enough to give us an accurate prediction.
Interestingly enough they are already looking ad C&C machines that can build houses. You would only need a few people to operate the machine.
