The US Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and Air Force, with all of our nuclear weapons, tanks, artillery, drones, and satellite surveillance, have been fighting a ragtag collection of insurgents for over a decade now. Imagine the same thing here, except we have a plethora of higher-quality firearms in the hands of much better-trained people. How many ex-Army and ex-Marines are there? Lots and lots, and they've had ten years of first-hand experience with what works and doesn't work in an insurgency. I'm not advocating for armed rebellion, or even speaking about the liklihood of it happening, I'm just talking about the ability. Bill Maer is the same a-hole who says that Iraq and Afghanistan are unwinnable quagmires, but he thinks Americans couldn't accomplish the same feat?
