RIP. Another Colt gets discontinued, not sure when, but just happened to be my first AR-15, the Colt AR-15A3 (6721 heavy barrel, 1:9 version) was just quietly discontinued and some forums earlier this year noted rumors Colt Defense would discontinue the 6721 "for a while".

Not sure when actual production ceased, but I bought mine in December 2016 and it still managed to have the actual Colt BCG and Bolt with the appropriate markings and the "gold" extractor spring. Looks like the only non-Colt part was the extractor itself. Apparently some newer purchased LE6920s do not have BCGs and Bolts with the Colt appropriate markings.

Felt the need to pull out the factory furniture for a little ole "throwback thursday" photo shoot LOL ... (bottom pic is current configuration with BCM and Magpul M LOK furniture). And no, I was not about to go through the trouble to put on the OEM trigger guard.
