Dude, keep up. That word ("criminals") is now verboten. Order came down from On HIgh from His Royal Majesty that such persons are now to be referred to as "justice-system-involved individuals". I wish I was kidding...but you can't make up shit like that.

So why are we being tracked? What did we do wrong?

Because we want to exercise a natural right protected by the Constitution? Last week while waiting to "register" I got into a conversation with someone also waiting and I got a little "excited" when stating that the registration information, as far as anyone knows, has NEVER, in and of itself, been used to solve a crime, and that for me, as a law-abiding citizen, having to be on a list like criminals (yeah, I'm gonna keep using that word) such as a pedophile registry and being required to give up all my rights to privacy regarding my medical records was, well, totally ridiculous and irrational. The three people there just looked at me like I was insane. They nokea. Just sayin'... most gun owners don't even care that we are being driven roughshod by the petty tyrants... and no end in sight. This year: become a prohibited person by sending two emails or texts that someone says "annoys" them. What next year? I can hardly wait...

No such rule or regulation prescribed [by the Attorney General] after the date of the enactment of the Firearms Owners Protection Act may require that records required to be maintained under this chapter or any portion of the contents of such records, be recorded at or transferred to a facility owned, managed, or controlled by the United States or any State or any political subdivision thereof, nor that any system of registration of firearms, firearms owners, or firearms transactions or disposition be established.
