Wrestling from the 60s and 70s was awesome.

I remember him more as a manager.
I'm old but not that old. LOL
my favorite team that he managed was the Powers of Pain.
I remember him always saying in his sadistic tone, "make them suffer!"

If I remember correctly, Mr. Fuji managed Demolition first, and then turned on them and started managing the Powers of Pain instead.  both of which were spinoffs of the Road Warriors.
I don't remember everything from school, but I remember Pro wrestling storylines pretty well.

the Samoan connection:
Mr. Fuji, Yokozuna, 1 of the wild Samoans (not sure if its Afa or Sika), and the Head Shrinkers (formerly known as the Samoan Swat Team)

+1 for the 50th state wrestling crew. I remember Mr. Fuji, Tosh Togo (Harold Sakata) aka Odd Job from the Gold Finger movie, Jim Hady, Pampero Firpo aka the Missing Link, Nef Maiava, Nick Bockwinkle, The Masked Executioner....
I will also never forget the mainland stars like outrageous Freddy Blassey. He used to file his teeth on live tv. It would be great if any of the 50th state wresting shows were saved. Hey oldf, we are showing our age.

Were you involved with the wrestling shows?

As a kid I had some good memories of watching the wrestlers at the old civic auditorium. I recall an Indian death match between Johnny Barend and Chief Billy White Wolf. Johnny's face was covered with blood, but he still managed to break the chain with his bare hands. As a kid I always thought Chief Billy was a real American Indian. I learned many years later that Chief Billy was from Iran.
