I have always found it hard to comprehend how so much life was lost in WW2. I mean America lost lost a lot of lives but just a fraction of what some other countries lost.

The US did not have the number of casualties like the other nations because of the fact she entered WWII late in the game.

WWIII with either china or russia will change all that charts.  Hillary leaning to starting a war with russia and if anything trump a war with china.  Honestly would much rather fight china.

Russia's got the nukes and weapons development going for them, however the country's economy is terrible even though they are the 2nd largest.  To get into a large full scale conventional war, you need the a good support base with technology, money, manufacturing, skilled workers, allied support, etc which Russia doesn't have.  China has the manpower, growing economy, and manufacturing going for it.  If both countries allied and built up their defenses in a few decades, then it would be a brutal WWIII.

When you said honestly, does that mean before you said that everything else was a lie?

"Russia's got the nukes and weapons development going for them, however the country's economy is terrible even though they are the 2nd largest."

Russia's economy is far more resilient than people realize.  Remember the sanctions that the Obama Administration put on Russia as did the EU?  Those were suppose to crash Russia's economy.  Russia has not crashed yet.

"To get into a large full scale conventional war, you need the a good support base with technology, money, manufacturing, skilled workers, allied support, etc which Russia doesn't have."

I don't think Russia is at such a disadvantage as you speculate.  Don't forget, NASA still is dependent on Russia to get into space these days.

"China has the manpower, growing economy, and manufacturing going for it.  If both countries allied and built up their defenses in a few decades, then it would be a brutal WWIII."

Should those two countries militarily ally themselves against the US, America does not stand a chance conventionally, and most of the World would be uninhabitable if the war goes nuclear.

What makes you think a war with China will be preferable than Russia other than the weather?

Chinas military is smaller, less nukes and easier land to fight on.

China is working hard to catchup to Russia.  I'm sure they'll overtake them in 20 years.

Well assuming we do go to war with either, there is almost a 100% chance of a draft.  Doubt there would be land invasion of either or country. We would probably just take out the navy and air and starve them out.  Especially china which doesn't produce much of its food.

No nukes is a good thing, since I'm caught in the blast radius in an attack on Pearl Harbor or Hickam.

If entire China (population) went to war with us, we don't have enough bullets.  Thank got for explosives and nukes.
