True. But, if you are light on space, the Lee Hand Press, a few sets of dies, some primers etc, fit into a shoe box. Some dedicated bench resters could take a little kit to the range, or a match. Sometimes, in a quest for super consistency, those guys might use one brass case for the day.
I have one of those powder measures that uses replaceable bushings to measure the powder. The come with a list of how many grains of whatever powder they throw. I didn't trust the list, so I sat down with my powder scale and threw like 10 charges with each busing using every powder I used, and then averaged the result and wrote it all down.
But I find hand loading a relaxing pass time.
