His place unlimited supply of protein.  Eat the worms.
I got a shit load of protein powder, bcaas, preworkout, and fat burners. So my contribution would be we will all be super jack3d during an EMP attack.

Once London808 and Suka mess up our plans.  Macsak and my team will go to my work place and take refuge.  Mac just make sure you bring your worms, fishing poles, and your .22 for small bird game.  From there we will have a better chance against them.

can i ride on the armored units?

Don't forget most of the jets parked at the airport were not powered up during an EMP and will start right up. Ground Navigational aids not required as they are all stored onboard the aircrafts software.

There really are very few "preppers".  Most people who might consider themselves prepared are actually just stocking up for others.  Having a lot of guns and ammo might sound good and may buy a bit more time, but it more than likely isn't going to cut it in a long term event.  Oahu is about one of the worst places to be in the event of a long term disaster.

Heres how it would go down for preppers after an EMP (or other SHTF situation)

Once food runs low, people will group together and form mass mobs that will go door to door taking everything that any one has. If they come across some one who has guns and such(a prepper) , they will burn the house down killing anyone inside and hope that something good is left. Mob mentality stats that if we cant have it neither can you.

End of story.

There is a lot to what you say.  I spend a lot of time on the Web.  One site comes to mind, shtfplan
and gives a good idea how many others plan for your scenario.  I'm not trying to push traffic to that site,
in fact most here would be very offended by the language, disrespect for laws, Democrats and LEO's
in general, but I use it as a source for my advice.  Here are a few ideas( but certainly not all)

1) Get way away from all large population centers.
2) Put together a "community of like minded people" for protection
     and needed skills.
3) Never store all your goodies in one spot.
4)  In addition to stored food and water,  have animals and a garden.
5) Government is never, never your friend, they will take your stuff.
Make sure it is not very portable and don't let them know you have it.

I could go on and on.  Where I live, there is food,  water
and a small enough population in the local area to feed everyone, so we
only have to worry about processing and distribution, I suppose that where
our local churches and temples come in( lots of those here).
We just have to keep the big town people out( in my case Hilo and Kona).
Fortunately geography favors that, as there is
only one main road and that is easily blocked and defended.
Granted I'm in one of the most rural, sparsely populated, resource
rich,  part of my island, so my neighbors and I have many options.
Most of us have plans for when SHTF.

If you are on Oahu,  then you might have
a "Mad Max" situation as you propose.
Most mobs establish a territory
and don't go far away from it.

Good in theory but think of this. People know preepers will not be in the populated areas, Farms that have food arent in the populated areas. The number of people that will be moving around looking for food will be so great that they will eventually move out of the popukated areas and start looking everywhere. In Hawaii there is nowhere to hide.

Not to mention people will fish and boats will go to other islands with more land/farms to look for food. Maui and the BI may become more populated.

When I first moved to this island I was living in the old Navy housing in Kalaeloa. We had a wild windstorm one night and it knocked down so many power poles we didn't have power for 4 days. I hope your power comes back quickly. It sucked not having power for that long. Cold showers suck.

On a side note so many trees were downed that night along with the power and light poles that there was no route to get out of my neighborhood. So I had to take a day off. They finally cleared the main routes about 2pm so I spent the rest of my day at Starbucks. If the electricity was going to be out one more night my wife and I were going to stay in a hotel until the power came back on.

Fresh water would be my first concern.  Food will not be a problem for me for at least the first month but fresh water will be difficult. I currently live by a  stream so I can always draw from there and sterilize it but I am going to move soon where I wouldn't be near a stream. Close enough to the beach and I would have to make a still. I think we would probably eat all the fish and edible land animals within the first 2 months and then people would start to starve (assuming no outside help came). After that disease would also become a bigger factor.

In this scenario the most beneficial thing might be a boat that could make a voyage across the sea to the mainland or wherever. A sail means no reliance on fuels and one could fish far from the islands as well. Guns would certainly be a benefit but a sail boat might be the biggest asset.

I fear the teenagers and young adults. Any long term power outage whether EMP, natural disaster, Man made disaster or just mans natural inclination to f*** things up. All these young xbox, tweeting, facebooking. Any screen watching person really. They won't have athing to do. They'll start tagging having a great time, then get bored and move up the let's get stupid scale. That's when the beatings and every form of violence you can think of will happen. The police and military will try and to keep order, but soon realize,oh shit! What about my family? then abandon there post.

It's not only they unprepared  begging or stealing your supplies. You got worry about idle minds with idle hands looking for something to do without there internet and smartphones. I believe  the appropriate term is "wilding" The power go's out they'll drink get high and when the booze and drugs out or just isn't as engaging, they will get there kicks from causing mayhem and misery.
