 Thank you for contacting me regarding gun control regulations.
 
 I have supported gun control efforts because I believe that we can protect the Second Amendment rights of Americans while preventing the kind of senseless gun violence that has recently affected communities across the United States.  I support bringing national gun control standards in line with the high standards already enforced in Hawaii, which have resulted in our state having the lowest number of gun deaths per capita in the nation.  I also recognize the importance of protecting both public safety and Second Amendment rights and believe that we can have both.

Mr. shit for brains thinks he is the only one that is people.

That is Schatz's generic email to anyone who suggests he is a traitor not helping restore the civil rights of Hawaii's and the nation's citizens by his votes on bills that deny our rights. He will send out that email whether you asked him to vote for the Hearing Protection Act or to abolish the NFA and make machine guns legal and available at every retail firearms outlet. He no kea. Still, keep pestering him... they especially dislike phone calls.
