Really low level only 16' AGL. max load 2 million lbs. but that thing is frikin huge.

I've seen this before......

It has a tailgunner.......what's he defending, Assault Seaguls? Wouldn't even be able to see the fighter that launches the missile at them O_o. I can see them trying to bank hard and digging a wing into the ocean. It's awesome as a fantasy, but pretty stupid in rl.

I don't see why it should have to bank to turn.  Seems to me it ought to be able to turn pretty much flat and level with almost no roll.

It's actually not a terrible idea if you think of it as a boat that can kind of fly, instead of a crappy plane that can barely fly.  It's got massive cargo capacity, and was capable of speeds up to 300kts, which seems like it would be pretty effective at running up on a beach and offloading a half-dozen tanks right on the bad guys' doorstep.
