I think he already had smoothed ties with Russia, and I think Russia will not have a retaliation against this.  To save face they say this and that, but in the end this message is totally for Assad. 

Would be great if America and Russia both pull out of the area.  Feel bad for the people there, but they need to fight that battle,  not us.

If we are going to get involved,  it must be completely and for a total WIN..  Other wise GTFO

Wow. She's tough. Meets with the guy twice and now advocates for his execution, but only if found guilty and sentenced to death by the International Criminal Court. I doubt that would raise Assad's blood pressure 1mm. Gabbard should list for us all the previous heads of state (or anyone else for that matter) indicted, tried, convicted, sentenced to death, and executed by the International Criminal Court. While we're waiting for her to answer that question, I'll cheat: zero. Tough, indeed... about as tough as Obama's "red line".
