I mean, I love this rifle. I took a bunch of pictures of it today, and felt that tug in my manly heart as I was handling it. The problems are it's not really cheap to take out, nor the easiest to maintain. I think I STILL don't have the iron sights zeroed, after all these years of owning it. I SHOULD just hurry up and do a 50yard zero on that bad boy. But the sights aren't as derpderp AR simple.

I was considering maybe putting it up for sale, but I really don't want to. I'm not strapped, but I can always use extra money. But I really don't want to sell the damn thing. But I really don't even use it because 308 is expensive shit. But I really love the gun.

I wouldn't sell a gun, ever, ever, ever.  If you're too strapped to shoot it now, stuff it full of cosmoline and stick it in the back of the safe.  It's not costing you anything to have it in there, and like these other guys said, if you sell a rifle you like just because you don't shoot it often enough, you'll be kicking yourself in the butt for the rest of your life.

I guess I think of it as an instant $1k+ (more really) that I can use to fund other purchases that I might use more often.

But I'll take your guys' advice and hold on to it. I do love it dearly. It's only a standard model, but it's my standard model.

I sold all my reloading eqiupment, and gave vood all my 308 dies powder brass boolitz and other stuff O_o.

I just never got around to setting them up O_o. Was too complicated and intimidating.

Nah man I've had my eyes on this stock for years! just never could afford it! I think I can now though! I'm considering finally getting it, if I can afford it!

I never cared for the EBR either. Looks too tits heavy. I actually like the Troy's design too, and I'd probably get it if I had a 16incher. But with my 22incher, I prefer the JAE's overall direction.

Vltor's stock looked like something I could bake in an oven myself, but 30x more expensive. I'm sure it's a fantastic product, but I'm vain as hell. I just don't like the aesthetics.

I wouldn't feel bad about wanting good aesthetics on a rifle like that.  Some guns don't matter; the Kel-Tec KSG is ugly as hell, but if it's reliable and available, I'll buy one.  It has a job to do, and if the ugly one does it better, I'll use it.  A sweet-ass M1 like that, though?  Bro, it's GOTTA look good!

I prefer not to sell any guns unless I have to. I have had to sell guns twice. Once cuz I needed the money. The other time was when I moved here. I got rid of every gun I didn't shoot regularly. And while I still wish I had not sold them I don't really miss them. I still shoot my favs regularly and the others at least a couple times (or more) a year. I say if you don't need the money, don't sell it. If it has any special sentimental value then don't sell it.

JAE is nice.  Troy & Sage are heavy.  VLTOR is pretty damned light.
