.22 madness.

I'm going crazy for .22's for 2 reasons. 1, ammo is fricken cheap. 2, it's fun. 2.5, my indoor range is operational. What kinds of .22 do you have???

I picked this up on Friday from OGC.

After searching for a long time. This finally arrived today.

nice, been hearing good things bout the SR22.  How much did you pick it up for?

i'm thinking of trading in my Mark3 for one of those just because it's WAY easier to clean.

I ordered it from gun broker.com for $280. No one had it when i wanted it. Total with FFL fee was $350. OGC has them in stock now for $350 also. It's super easy to clean. I can take it apart faster then my glock. Flick the lever down, slide the slide back and remove. Nice and compact. DA/SA. Ambi safety/decocker, mag release. I'm happy with it.

Nice Ruger BTW, I have been looking at that one since it came out! Another gun I have been looking at besides the S&W 617 is the Taurus 992. Here: http://www.taurususa.com/2012catalog/?catalog_page=44

I currently own:
Marlin/Glenfield Model 60, 17 shot tube fed semi-auto rifle (has some mods)
Savage.Anschutz Model 64 single shot target rifle (Bought it new in 1970-71 with peep sights)
High Standard Supermatic Trophy target pistol with 7.25" barrel and red dot sight.
High Standard High Sierra Revolver - 9 shot with extra cylinder for 22 Magnum.

What I am really looking for to add to my safe is an accurate semi-auto plinker. The High Sierra revolver I have is very accurate with almost any cheap ammo I put through it. But I want a semi-auto. The problem is most of the .22 semis are not easy take down and re-assemble pieces like a Glock or Sig. Or if they are easy then they are not accurate enough for what I want. I want something that is really easy to disassemble/reassemble and is as accurate as my revolver. And is not as expensive as a target pistol or require expensive ammo to be accurate. I cannot find exactly what I am looking for.

Since I cannot find a semi-auto I like, I was looking at the S&W 617 and Taurus 992 as replacement for my current revolver. My current revolver is a cowboy style grip and I want something that fits my hand better. And since I can't find the right semi-auto I have been looking at a modern revolver. The Smith is accurate enough and fits my hand well but it does not come with the extra cylinder for 22 Magnum. The Taurus is everything I like except I cannot find any reliable test reviews of it yet because it is so new. I want to know how accurate it is before I buy one.

BTW, has anyone seen the Kel-Tec PMR 30??? I would love to own one of those!
