yeah, they did look pretty dirty and with rifling
============
yep, just as they came out of the dirt last Wednesday. Then I washed them and threw them in the tumbler for a little while and pushed them through a bullet sizer just in case.
Then reloaded them just like any other bullet. I benched the ammo yesterday afternoon. They all hit pretty close to where they were supposed to go.
In fact the group size was not much different than new bullets. I did this years ago with the exact same results.
The moral of the story is that you can get away with a almost anything in the 45 auto. Any reasonably well made bullet can be used and made to work with little effort.
That's why I love the 45 auto.
The other idea I had was that this could make a great plot for a crime drama. We always see the detective say how the bullet in the victim matches the gun of the suspect.
hahahaha what if the killer used a used bullet? In this case the used bullets probably came form a bunch of different guns at different times. Possibly months or years apart.
That would really mess up the brain of a crime lab technician.
