More than 4,600 voters who asked for an absentee ballot statewide in the primary election this year never got it because it bounced right back. The bulk rate paid on the “sent from a mass-mail vendor” doesn’t cover forwarding, even if a new address is on file with the postal service.

Always Investigating asked, has the county ever thought of notifying those people hey you’re still wrong in our system?

“At that point, all we have is that address,” Kadota said. “If that address is bad, that falls on the voter to update that information. If the voter did not receive their ballot and they’re wondering why, the best is to just contact our office and we can research what’s going on.”

Honolulu County says only about a dozen such calls came in at the primary. The other islands didn’t track the call volume.

Poll workers say far more than that grumbled to them.

“I saw a lot of people being very disappointed and angry that they didn’t get their absentee ballots in the mail and coming in and wanting to vote,” said Alyn Vasquez-Dela Cerna, an Aiea-area voter assistant.

Lori Tomczyk, a long-time state election section chief, is taking the fall for Oahu's ballot shortages on Election Day, and resigned at her boss' request earlier this month, sources told Hawaii News Now Monday.

During the general election on Nov. 6, 24 Oahu polling places ran out of paper ballots, causing long lines of voters and delaying the first printout of election results by two hours.

Wasn't the estimate at first 1.4 million illegal votes.  Then it changed to 11 million?  IIRC, San Diego had 400K more votes than registered voters.

From what I can tell that number appears to be highly disputed.

The DOJ indicted only 19 people for illegal voting in the 2016 election. There have been more prosecutions at state levels but nothing amounting to the millions claimed by trump.

Just hours after finishing a tumultuous election recount, Broward Supervisor of Elections Brenda Snipes
submitted her resignation, ending a 15-year tenure full of botched elections, legal disputes and blistering
criticism.

During the just-completed recount of the midterm election, Scott was a fierce critic of Snipes, accusing her
of years of incompetence and asking the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to investigate what he
said “may be rampant fraud.”

Broward’s vote counting was an outlier among the state’s 67 counties, taking a long time to complete. For
days, Snipes wouldn’t say how many ballots were outstanding and uncounted and her office wasn’t reporting
updated results as frequently as the law required.

And there were repeated hiccups during the recount period, including Snipes’ acknowledgment on Saturday
that her office couldn’t find 2,040 ballots that had been included in the first vote count but not in the machine
recount of state elections.

She said she was sure they were somewhere in her office, probably mixed in with other ballots.

As people grew impatient for finality in three close statewide elections — governor, U.S. Senate and agriculture
commissioner — local, state and national attention focused on Snipes.

Besides Scott, she was denounced by U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., and President Donald Trump. Snipes
is a Democrat.

How do you explain more votes than people registered to vote in many cities. Lack of prosecution doesnt mean it doesnt happen.
