A few odds and ends....

My carry piece, Glock 43 in a Comptac holster.

Legal to carry almost anywhere, to include unsecured government buildings and universities, and private businesses that don't have a 30.06 (No CCW) or 30.07(No open carry) signs.  Those signs are pretty big.

Using the DART rail and busses to get around $25 weekly pass is pretty cheap. Except I lost a my card so had to buy another one.  Feels fairly safe and clean.

And using the Limebikes to get around.  Just $1 for 30 minutes and you just leave them on the sidewalk when you're done.  More convenient to use than Biki.  There's 3 bike sharing companies that I've seen here.

Also the free trolly that loops around downtown.  Over 100 years old and still running.  Lots of different eateries in the area.

Yesterday we went to the 6th floor museum which was an old book storage building where Lee Havey Oswald shot JFK from the 6th floor window.  Very good vantage point in the window and shot was about 75 yards as marked with an X on the road.  Also the famous grassy knoll.

And finally tonights dinner at Off the Bone BBQ.  We rode the Limebikes about a mile up the street.  The ribs were pretty good, but the briskett was dry. Was okay but Pecan Lodge was way better.

Unfortunately we couldn't get to the National Video Game Museum cause it's 25 miles away and off public transportation.  Very disappointed.  Dallas is okay, but not an exciting town and don't plan on being back here unless there's something big going on.  Plan on going to TOPGOLF tomorrow to check it out!

you're pretty much ruined on BBQ if you are going to compare everything to pecan lodge...

I think they are planning on building topgolf (or something like it) at ala wai golf course

This was 30 minutes from my Texas house, but I couldn't get back over there again to check it out with my FFL/SOT.  Couple buddies went, and I hear it was a great time!
