Yesterday I got home and had a couple boxes from Amazon waiting for me. 
Don't you just love getting new toys.

The first thing I got (which I really needed) was an Alpen 20x50 Waterproof Mini-Spotting Scope. I got this one because of it's low price, relatively good ratings, and short distances I need to see at Koko Head. I tested it out in my house the best I could and could just get in things in focus about 30ft away. I know it's not a very technical test but it was much better inside than the Barska binos that I got earlier and returned. The mini tripod that comes with it is absolutely horrible and you have to adjust it just right or the scope will topple over. Next time I get out to the range, I'll give a better review.

The next item I got was a Plano Gun Guard 100 Series Rifle Case.  I got this purely for taking to the range. Having a small house, I can't fit a whole bunch of hard cases, so I needed something compact and this fit the bill perfectly.

I also picked up an SSI .22 boresnake just because it was compact and should be easier than getting out the cleaning rods, screwing them together and shoving it down the barrel.

Finally I got UTG AK magazine pouch. It is inexpensive and feels pretty durable. and should protect all the magazines you throw in there. There are four divided compartments to keep the mags from rubbing up against each other.

I just have to say, I love Amazon.

New packages are always cool!  Im waiting on some bullet heads, new Heinie sights for a 1911, and some Glock parts.  I received my Magpul Dynamic Handgun video this past Tuesday.

Im still debating on a Spikes dedicated 22 AR upper.  I reload 223 but you still cant beat the pricing point of 22LR.  Uppers are nice, almost like getting a new gun without the hassle of registration!

Would you mind giving a short review of the Magpu video?

No problem!  Im about half way through so far.  From what I have seen, lots of great information, for those who have taken handgun courses before a lot of the admin stuff, i.e. loading, tactical reloading, speed reloading will be refreshers, but none the less you will still be able to pick up details you may have forgotten or never received in other training.  I will follow this up more as I finish the material.  A lot of what is taught can be applied to IPSC shooting as well!
