UNANIMOUS Texas Legislature: Brass Knuckles (etc.) Now Legal (Possess/Carry) (Read 2980 times)

I never cease to be amazed at how this shithole of socialist tyrants differs nearly 100% from places in the United States.

Texas legislature vote on bill to make "knuckles" legal (to posses AND carry in public):

House 147 - 0

Senate  31 - 0

Here in socialist shithole Hawaii it would be the exact opposite. Well, not even that really because such a bill would never even be given a committee hearing, much less a committee vote, much less floor votes in both chambers, much less signed by the governor. Just sayin'...

I'm not sure about this. Remember the knockout game?

Also where does one draw the line with legalizing the carry of melee weapons?

As long as lethal self defense is protected against some young punk coming after you with brass knuckles.

You mean young punks don't already have illegal brass knuckles?  I wonder where they got all those knuckles shown in the video -- 93 people busted with them in TX last year.

Criminals don't obey laws. If they wanted to use brass knuckles when they were illegal, they did. It always has been and still is illegal to assault people without self-defense justification. All this does is allow law-abiding people to not be arrested for possessing the weapons in public. The state legalized "switchblade" knives last year, with no increase in their use in crimes... especially not crimes committed by previously law-abiding citizens.

On a another issue, the Texas governor just signed a law banning the use of any "red light cameras" in the state (amidst claims that the companies that installed them decreased the time of the yellow light thus generating more revenue... and rear end collisions), while in Hawaii this session a bill was promoted to start installing them.

If I can extend the "opposite" analogy one more step:
