I’m not a big AR fanboy but I have built 3 myself. I built the lowers on all three pretty much the same. My 5.56 uses a Noveske Infidel complete upper. I bought the upper brand new in box from a member here. With my handloads I get between 0.65” - 0.75” MOA. Using 65gr and 63gr Sierras and Varget. My second AR uses a CMMG complete upper in 300 Blackout. I get 1 MOA with 130gr Speer Hotcor bullets and H110 powder. I really like the 300 Blackout cartridge for the AR. I have a scope on this rifle and I have a red dot I am going to try on it. Both of these lowers have target single stage triggers. My third lower only has milspec parts including the trigger. I have tried a few different uppers on it and I am not terribly impressed with the cartridges I tried. With this lower. I tried .22, 9mm and another 5.56. I’m thinking of trying .204 Ruger or something in 6.5mm-6.8mm. That’s what I like about the AR platform. Easy to convert to different calibers. New upper, bolt, mags and start testing. For a tinkerer and reloader like me it is pretty kewl. Otherwise, shooting the AR is only meh for me.

After I move I might try some longer range shooting out to around 600 yards with my 5.56. I’ll also load my 30 round mags full.
SCIENCE THAT CAN’T BE QUESTIONED IS PROPAGANDA!!!
