For Only $10B More We can Have A Bullet Train?

Only $20B for a bullet train? If we spend only $10B more, can we get a bullet train? There is a mile or less between stations in East Kapolei. Should solve all our traffic problems.

Japan made that floating maglev 370 MPH train at something like half the cost per mile as the Honolulu street car track or what ever it is.

I actually looked up the price it would take to make a floating bridge with this stuff https://candock.com/ 30 miles from the Big Island to Maui and it would cost the same as 150 ft of the Honolulu rail.

We could have a Star Trek transporter by the time they finish the train.

Was on the road the other day and had to make room for a LE escorted wide load.
As it passed, I saw that it was one of the rail cars.

LMAO
That thing will be a pile of rust by the time they finish.

BULLET!?! Would never make it here since the train would be an "assault weapon"

Did you see how crooked the rail lines are?  Putting a bullet train on it would mean it goes only a fraction of its max speed or fly off the track!

Here is an aerial pic of the Pearl City rail line.

It's on the Internet.

It has to be true.

I'm waiting for the day when the most expensive bike path in the country opens for business. Sadly, that will be after the entire thing is built, $10B over budget, 15 years past schedule and after the tracks are ripped out because the trains weigh too much and the guideway is cracking and breaking.

I was driving this road today.  It's pretty crooked like the people who pushed for it.
