Mitt thinks Trump is a lesser person than himself.

How could this "person" be elected President over Hillary "It's finally my turn!!" Clinton when Romney got beat by Barack "My first 4 years sucked" Obama?

He's still pissed he lost (he wasn't beaten -- the race was his to lose).  I think he's taking his anger out on Trump, the ACTUAL President, as opposed to a former governor and failed GOP nominee.

There's the dollar cost of paying for all these officials to sit in hearing after hearing.

There's the dollar cost of producing and distributing all the documents for the investigations, hearings and trial.

Then there's the opportunity cost of not getting anything else done.

Plus the cost of obstructing Trump at every turn so he and his administration had to find ways around all the BS being slung at them.

It's obvious the House was trying to keep the Trump admin so busy answering subpoenas and testifying that they couldn't get anything done for the nation.

Trump apparently can walk, chew gum and Tweet at the same time!!
