‘Give it a rest Greta!’ Australian celebrity tears into climate activist Greta Thunberg

CLIMATE change activist Greta Thunberg has been criticised by a popular Australian television personality over her speech at the UN Climate Action assembly in New York.
 
Australian TV presenter Karl Stefanovic tore into 16-year-old Ms Thunberg over her passionate speech at the UN headquarters in New York. Ms Thunberg told the assembly that delegates had “stolen” her dreams and childhood “with your empty words”. The Swedish activist said: “We are in mass extinction. And all you can talk about is money and fairytales of eternal economic growth. How dare you!’

There are some hilarious ones that I've seen.   

I agree with the premise in this video.  This is nothing less than child abuse.

Listen to how she developed her depression.  This is what happens to people, young and old, when exposed constantly to the Liberal Progressives who have nothing good to say -- ever.  They are outraged over something every minute of every day.

She's been conditioned, and now she's being used.  Someone should call Australia's Child Protective Services, or she's doomed.

I appreciate her passion but I think the tone she is taking is counter productive to her cause.

And there are those who think she should be able to vote.    

I see more and more of these youth activism groups, even in Hawaii.  REI has that stuff in their mailers.  I mean I get importance of protecting the environment, that big corporations have manipulated things in their favor, etc.  But lets not be hasty and implement stuff like making plastic straws illegal where there are many other things that are worse.  Just another "feel good" measure so someone can say they "did something".
