I had my first name and last initial for the longest time and had no problems.  I guess fb changed their rules and people had to use their name and lots were asking me how I got mines to just be an intake.  I guess someone eventually reported me,  and I had to do that verification stuff.  I submitted it with my full name and that's what they changed it to.  I can't alter or change my name any more now. 
Best to user a new e mail and make a new account.

I had someone report me, too.  I was contacted by the FB team to provide personal information to verify my identity.

I replied, "You first.  How do I know I can trust you, a complete stranger, with my PII?"

I backed up my FB data and deleted the account.  Haven't regretted it since.

When you sign up for a Facebook account they should ask for you drivers license, birth certificate, DNA swab, fingerprint card, retina scan and social security card.

So been banned for the past 6 days now on FB because I don't have my real name.  I'm gonna assume someone reported me because I post comments on other pages like KHON, CNN, MSNBC, SHH, SSH-OT, etc...and they're pro rights or pro Trump.  So FB asked to send copy of my drivers license to verify.  I only sent them the part that shows my name and pic.  I covered all other info.  They said that they would review it and get back to me. 

Maybe due to CV, it's taking longer than normal, but I can't even find an email to contact them.  On their help page it just has questions and automated stuff.  No direct contact to follow up on my status.

That happened to me. I recall getting some sort of email or message when I tried to log in. They asked for some proof of my name. I sent them a photo of my driver's license and then they opened back up my account. Twice they denied it despite it matching my name then finally I emailed back with a typed message instead of just the image then they opened it back up.
