Just look at all these threads.
Are you thinking disparate is a good thing or a bad thing or neither?

Referring to the weird ones that like to start arguments, or something else?

good and bad. Bad that we can't come together to fight for a single issue. good that we have a collection of differing viewpoints

Nothing new, at least to me.  Discussed this in many other threads.  Even before those that just want to argue just to argue, there are so many cliques, many of which have the "well, it doesn't affect me, so whatevahs" attitude.

Different views isn't necessary bad, liberal and conservatives can both support guns.  No ones are clones,  we all believe in different things,  but one thing we have in common is being American and liking guns. Not sure if there are even any liberals here or maybe they are hiding....

I find that those who use the word "necessarily" (even when they misspell it), are proffering the mindset as one of argument or trying to make a point based on the minority -- or the exception -- not the majority or the "rule."  That's just a longing to be involved and make a point for some academic debate purpose, but it really just muddies the water and infuriates the people trying to hold an open, honest and productive DISCUSSION (not debate).

If you think every topic needs to devolve into a debate just to show off your "knowledge" or debate skills, you're the reason we can't have a nice forum.

Yes, I get sucked into these debates more than most, and it usually comes down to my refusal to let someone drag me down a rabbit hole just to debate some tangential nonsense ad nauseam.  As for the trolls I like to engage from time to time, that's just my way of drawing them out and wasting their time.

If you look at the comment I quoted, "Different views isn't necessary bad, liberal and conservatives can both support guns."  Who on this forum ever said "All Liberals do not support guns?"  If you agree with me no one ever did, then what's the purpose of that comment?  My impression is it shows the person's opinion is more important than checking past threads to see what the consensus has been on Liberals owning and supporting guns.  Might come as a shock that this is NOT a new idea.

Personally, at my age, I get tired of being lectured to by Democrats, Liberals, Millennials and others who act like they are educating everyone here on things that have been discussed for YEARS many, many times with all the same points already on the record.

It's great the youngsters have found facts to mull over, but posting it as they do just begs for the first line to be:

Yes point it out the spell check.  I didn't make this keyboard.  There's isn't much discussion of everyone had the same viewpoints.  I said that because there is clear anti liberal tendencies here  and we 2a supporters shouldn't alienate an entire voting block.

Off topic, but your spelling is due to the keyboard design?  :hmm:

Judging from the un-Constitutional gun laws and the abuse of existing laws eg. concealed carry permission, in Hawaii,
I'd judge that we( pro 2A) are the ones alienated, and there is no way of using logic or history education to change the minds
of anti-2A liberals that rule over us.
We will have to resort to the courts and hammer the liberals that rule over us.  That is why Trump was so important,
the Federal courts are now being turned from law makers, based on their personal beliefs,  to law interpreters based
on the US Constitution.

I agree with you, but in the real world liberals exist, the more we can convince they can be liberal AND like guns.  The safer our gun rights are.  The more we alienate them the more they will always fight gun rights.  2a SHOULD NOT be a party issue. Its an American right.   The whole court battle is another discussion in itself.  I think we might of doomed ourselves, if the democrats win all 3, they are so pissed about Amy they will just pack the courts and instead of 5-4 like how it would be without Amy we will have 6-7.  With more liberal justices.  Because of the nuclear option they can pick the most liberal of liberal judges.  And there is absolutely nothing the republicans can do to stop them.

"there is clear anti liberal tendencies here  and we 2a supporters shouldn't alienate an entire voting block."
An entire voting block that is almost uniform in wanting to strip us of our 2nd Amendment rights?

They should wish it is only alienation.   I certainly want nothing to do with any of them, I despise liberals.
