In all seriousness this is going to be a painful lesson. The Communists are going to keep on pushing til everything is broken and they have control. Defunding and abolishing police in these states might actually be a good thing in that we learn by our mistakes. The more painful the mistake the better learned the lesson is. Innocent people always get hurt, but people need to be pushed into action. As unpleasant as distasteful as that may be.
Adversity breeds men, complacency breeds monsters. Apply that as you like but I find more often than not it is an accurate analogy.
