I noticed that 223 AK's, well at least mine are really picky with mags.....

The Circle 10's that they came with kept stove piping... The 5.45 bakelite mags with 223 followers worked perfectly!

All my 7.62x39 AK's have no issues just my 223's... I don't own any 5.45's ......yet

It would probably be good to try different mags from friends to see what mags work the best before you buy a bunch

I picked up a couple Bakelite & a couple metal mags online.

I have a Saiga.  Sorry, I mean my wife has a Saiga. 

Personally, I wouldn't get a 223 AK for myself for the reasons already given.....finding reliable mags.  Reason I got the 223 AK was the wife - it has almost zero recoil, cheap, easy to clean, durable and should be reliable with the Galil mags/bullet ramp.  Later, my girls will learn to shoot it too.

If KK was my dad, I would have just bought an AR for her.  Oh wait....I did buy her an AR but I thought it was an okole to clean and sold it to KK.

I just bought a 223 ak, to quell my sorrow that you wouldn't sell me yours.

KK - you need a new pic for your avatar.   That existing pic must be like 2 years old and at least 5 short of your actual # of AKs.

Why a 223 ak for you?   (Other than Why not?)

Do you already have a 5.45 AK74?  (Why am I asking this.....)   If yes, how about a write up between the two from a local point of view......
