Sanctions impact in Russia

There are a few "life in Russia" you tubers that I watch  and they've been YTing on the impact of the sanctions.

1 went to a very popular mall where the crowd on a weekend is usually shoulder to shoulder. It was very empty. IKEA, Victoria Secret, Zara, Chanel, Starbucks  all have closed. GAP, Banana Republic, Subway, Baskin Robins, McDonalds all still open. The theaters there only had 1 American film, which is odd, usually there are a bunch.

The market, prices have gone up 3-5X. Example, Kilo (kg) of tomatoes was 25 rubles, now it's 99. Cheese wheel was 200 rubles, now 1000. Nespresso pods was 30 rubles, now 80.  Russian potato's were about same price as tomato's and are smaller and dirtier (dirt not cleaned off like b4).

But i the USA any different?  We aren't even sanctioned and yet our prices here have gone up. Asahi Grill loco moco was $9.99 (Trump era), then it went to $18. Now it's $14.99. So what's worst, being sanctioned or our own leaders screwing us (rhetorical)?

Y'all know I'm pretty anti-government.
 :grrr:
Especially Union Democrat run ones,
like here in Hawaii.
What makes America different is we
have guns and we know where the cops live.
