Sometimes lessons are best learned the hard way.  I have to admit that was the case for me in many instances. . . Costly in many ways.  Thankfully, most of my regrets regarding spending money on firearms are buying stuff, mostly accessories, that were either crap or just not quite what I wanted or found use for.  But each was a learning experience.  I wasn't failing.  Just was learning about things that I didn't want. . .  >:(  Never had seller's remorse.

Nope.  Only ever sold one.  Sold it to a good friend and I already had another that replaced it.  It was my first AR.  A DDM4 V5.  Not like it was anything special.

Back in 1983 I purchased a brand new Ruger Security-Six 6" SS .357 mag.  Sold it '96.   :(  :(  :(

Wish I still had the S&W 5906 and the Ruger Bisley in .357 I bought back in 1988. But I guess I can't complain too much since I still get to have new toys to play with in their place.

Yabbut, if you decide you want the sold gun type again, watch out for sticker shock.

Is it just me or does it seem that more people regret selling revolvers here? Maybe I'm wrong...

Ruger SP101. 3" barrel.
Like to think it went to a good home though.

You know it did.   :geekdanc:

Hope you gave it to your daughter. Then I’ll be happy.

Other guns I regret selling (was thinking about this the other day)
I’ve bought and sold a bunch but only regret letting go of a few:

Sig 556 piston with folding stock
S&W 686 (pre-Hillary) Dogman wouldn’t sell it back to me.  :grrr:   :shaka:
Rossi 16” .357 lever action.
And possibly the Rock Island 1911 and a .22 1911 because my affinity for 1911’s has grown. (.22 1911 went to FredStomper though which was nice)

Rock Islands are everywhere but I have yet to find a smith that will work on one. Interesting that some M1A smiths will work on Norincos

I don't think I've ever sold a gun I bought.
I do trade with close family members back and forth.
I'd never do a transaction in Hawaii.
State and county police are  too fuked up to trust.
I did trade a 357 GP100,, which I regretted, but Recently traded a M1911A1
for a S&W model 13-1 police customized 357.
It is good to have a close family of gun collectors.

Sold the first AR15 that I ever owned.  Assembled it from a stripped lower receiver with help from YouTube.  Regretted that for a minute.   Then I found and bought a Ruger New Model Blackhawk 45 Colt Bisley with a 7 1/2 inch barrel the next day with the money from the AR and I was all good again🤙🏽  Lol!
