Doesnt FDIC insurance cover?

Also they spent lots of effort to promote climate change and liberal stuff like that.

You are right. They cannot let these woke / ESG companies fail. The foolish irresponsibles were responsible for
the failure but they cannot be hoisted on their own petard. This would be more proof of: Get woke go broke and
it would be very bad optics for the leftist media and their partners in crime.

Trump was right about the disastrous results of having the wrong admin in charge.

Here's a pretty good rundown. This was always baked into the cake since QE to infinity started up in 2008. It was just a matter of how it would happen, and we still don't know how it's all going down yet, but apparently the scary part has started.

There are many financial tricks that might slow the pace of a credit crash, but not by much.  And, here’s the kicker – Unlike in 2008, the Fed has created a situation in which there is no escape. If they do pivot and return to systemic bailouts, stagflation will skyrocket even more. If they don’t use QE, then banks crash, companies crash and even bonds become untenable, which puts the world reserve status of the Dollar under threat. What does that lead to? More stagflation. In either case, rapidly rising prices on most necessities will be the consequence.

When was the last time this kind of thing happened?

Oh, yeah.  Under Obama and Biden.

Consistency.

They definitely accelerated it.

Just like FTX, SVB and Signature were infested with Obama and Biden donors.
We can expect that they will be handled with kid gloves even if they are ever prosecuted.
These institutions are also too woke to fail even if they did screw up tons of other peoples money.

Just watched yellen at the hearing and I didn’t realize that not all banks are guaranteed their deposits? So basically rich people will take their money out of the small banks (causing them to fail) and put it into a bank that’s “too big to fail” because apparently these banks get special treatment.  :wtf:

What banks are not guaranteed?  My understanding was that the insurance was based on amount deposited and the kind of account, not what kind of bank… if you have more than $250k on deposit in one kind of account ownership category, then the amount exceeding $250k is not insured.

Investment accounts are generally not covered under FDIC, including those brokered or provided by the bank.

Also, private banks and credit unions are not under the FDIC.  Private banks usually have their own insurance.  Credit Unions have their own insurance program: NCUA (National Credit Union Association).

What isn’t insured by the FDIC?
While the FDIC does insure quite a bit, there are many investments that are not protected.
Here’s what is not insured:

Stock investments
Bond investments
Mutual funds
Crypto Assets
Life insurance policies
Annuities
Municipal securities
Safe deposit boxes or their contents
Treasury bills, bonds or notes, which are “backed by the full faith and credit
of the U.S. government,” according to the FDIC.

While stocks, bonds, mutual funds and crypto holdings (unsurprisingly), are
not insured by the FDIC, those held at a broker or custodian are often still
insured. When it comes to those entities, Bunio says it’s critical to make sure
there is some kind of protection for your money.

FDIC only covers up to 250k. After SVB went down Biden administration came out and said no depositors are losing money. Basically it was a strategy to prevent runs on other banks. From what I understood the Biden admin was guaranteeing EVERYONES (all banks in America) money wouldn’t be lost if the bank fails. I believe $10 trillion dollars or something was the amount that was uninsured. I thought wow that’s pretty dumb but at least I could see what they were trying to do. However at the hearing yellen said that if other banks fail they would have to put in a request to the FDIC board to approve bailing out uninsured accounts (over $250k). So basically if you have over $250k in a smaller bank (too small to bail out) the government will not get involved. Therefore creating a run on small banks when the rich close out their accounts and deposit in a bank that’s too big to fail.

People across the nation are taking their money out of smaller local banks and depositing it into larger banks
like JP Morgan, BA, Wells Fargo, etc. that they believe are too big to fail. These large banks have trillions in
exposure to CMBS losses. The deposits could end up as useless bank shares in a bank bail in.
Once your deposits have been converted into bank shares, you are no longer protected by the FDIC insurance.
Central Bank Digital Currency is probably the ultimate goal of the banksters and big government.

watch the KITCO Interview with Ed Dowd. Check out what he says about Bank of Hawaii. I hope he is right.
