economic status, keep our entire state from reaching its full potential."Tim Walz’s first executive order as the Democratic governor of Minnesota
governor was establishing a diversity, equity and inclusion council for all
of the state government’s actions and designated himself as the chair. On
Tuesday, Waltz was selected to be Vice President Kamala Harris’ running
mate in the 2024 presidential election.
The Democratic Vice Presidential nominee told The Associated Press in
2019 that the “One Minnesota Council on Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity”
would ensure the “lens of equity” for all state government businesses, including
“recruiting; retaining and promoting state employees; state government
contracting; and civic engagement.”

I found where it says, "All men are created
equal."
I just can't find the part that says, "All men are guaranteed equity in all facets of life."
Equal treatment under the law involves just that -- everyone is treated the same.
Equity means justice achieved not simply according to the strict letter of the law
but in accordance with principles of substantial justice and the unique facts of the case.
So, under the equity standard, a person's race, beliefs, sexual orientation, gender preference, etc. can be used to circumvent the law, thereby affording certain groups a more preferred outcome than members of other groups.
Don't like the law? Qualify for some oppressed class -- real or imagined.
