President Trump Settles Defamation Lawsuit Against ABC for $15M

George Stephanopoulos commented several times that Donald Trump was found liable of rape which is not true.  The charge was for sexual abuse.in a case involving E. Jean Carroll, who filed a civil suit against Trump. Stephanopoulos is on the hook for $1M of the settlement.

The cherry on the sundae is Trump directed the $15M be donated as a charitable contribution towards a future presidential foundation and museum for President Trump.

So much for Trump running for office to enrich himself.  if he only values money, he's sure making some stupid decisions.

Media Leftists are livid!

the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.

What those with TDS also won't think about is that this $15 million settlement won't go toward his defense cost.

abc's legal disclaimer was goalpost moving rather than "we were wrong"...

Above mentioned that he is donating the $15mil.  Or did he mean donate what's left over after the legal fees?

It's not productive to debate over where the money goes.  One might point out that the "charitable contribution" benefits Trump directly in that he doesn't have to dump the same sum from his own money into a Presidential Foundation and Museum bearing his name (brand).

The important thing is he called out ABC for their fake news and lies about him, and he won in court.  The fact-check alone regarding what he was found liable of is priceless in terms of his brand and legacy.

ABC agreed to pay an additional $1M in legal fees -- above the $15M donation requested by Trump for his future foundation and museum.
