Illinois Moving to Ban Modern Firearms?

As the title states, found THIS on www.thetruthaboutguns.com.  If it's true, Illinois is preparing to pass one of the most draconian firearms legislation bills so far.  Wonder what may come of this?

If this is the one that was introduced as two separate bills, one for firearms and one for magazine, it is my understanding that the Illinois Senate refused to hear the legislation.  But I will have to confirm the reports independently as I got word from another firearms forum, but from people that live in Hellinois.

Facebook is starting to come out with posts saying the bill was struck down.  Waiting for a reliable source though, then ill link it.

That's outstanding news.  Would love to see some sources concerning the events.  Another article via Fox News.

...Update:  According to this article, looks like both bills have been "suspended" until next legislative session.

IL has a pro-gun majority on both sides. I Don't expect something stupid to come from them, but they are lobbying hard to make sure.
