The fact that this had to go to court shows how dumb as a society some people are.

The rationale is that there are protected spaces for biological women.  Biological men are legally prohibited in women-only spaces.  So, allowing anyone of any biological gender or sex to enter those spaces basically makes the law unenforceable.

It's sad that we've gotten to a point where the delusions of a small group of people can overshadow the legal protections for about half the population.
