I assume you mean riding in between highway lanes going the same direction?  That's called "lane splitting."

CA was the first state to pass a law making lane splitting legal.

Legislature actually passed a bill allowing this a few years ago but Ige vetoed it. Too bad. It has the potential to significantly reduce traffic. The only issue is there are not enough cycle parking spaces if 25% of commuters switched to riding.

Yes. I also see that motorcycles get right of way at a stoplight. They go between vehicles and either bypass the red light or get in front of all vehicles.

You know the passive aggressive drivers who go super slow through traffic lights so that nobody else can get through, or camp out in the passing lane while matching speeds to the car next to them while a line grows in the back.

This is the cure. By the time they know what happened and have started whining about it you're already gone.

I'm 68 yrs old and never thought this was legal.

Until a few years back on a family vacation to Disney/Universal/Warner Bros Studios.  No way I was gonna drive in LA so we contracted shuttles wherever we went.

I loved it because I get to sit back, relax and watch the scenery.  I saw these lane splitting maneuvers by the motorcyclists and the freeway even has lanes striped for this and everything.

I thought that was neat!  And people in LA drive better than the asshats here.
