I can't wait till criminals figure out how to convert this too.  THen CA passes a law banning all Glocks.

You think the scofflaws who want to convert Glocks using a switch always go out and buy the most current versions?

Pre-V Glocks will still be in demand for those people. Many will be stolen and/or acquired on the black market.  The ret will be purchased on the secondhand market legitimately and then converted.

Passing a sales ban doesn't mean the pre-existing guns magically go away.  With the number of police department turn-ins the past decade as they switched over to P320s, there are plenty of G17 and G19 Gen-Pre-V models to satisfy demand for quite awhile.

If Glock really wanted to help CA and their switch epidemic, they would offer deep discounts on the v-series in exchange for a switch-compatible Glock turn-in.

The first part of what you said is now in motion now that the images / nature of the modifications (which are modest) are widely available.

The timing of the second part will hinge on CA’s near-term priorities with respect to destroying our country.
