Today is opening day of the state legislature. Legislators open their doors to meet and greet their constituents. Folks are welcome to come by and get some small pupus from the leg office and say hello to the lawmakers.

Check it out. It's good fun if you can make it at lunch time.

I'm sitting in a 8-hour tax seminar.......

I've been to these opening day ceremonies a few years ago, not sure how they are now since I've heard they're more low key now.  Each senator and representatives office would have food for the public, and you can talk to them say Hi, voice your opinions, etc.  It's a friendly atmosphere where everyone is happy prior to the sessions where they hate eachother.

IMO they don't hate each other, they make like they want to 'make things better', then pat each other on the back when they 'get things done' SMH LOL

My dad does that  and is stuck in doing that even if he decides to retire people will still coming up to his door.

Hahaha, ya I know. I'm an auditor now but since my CPA firm knows about my tax background I get used/abused during tax season and it is "highly recommended" I do some tax CPEs (continuing professional education).
