I've heard a lot of good things here about Pelican cases and want to pick up a iM3100 for my AR upper.  Any leads would be appreciated, thank you.

I've seen them at SEC before. I actually bought mine online through LaRue. It was a combo with a rifle bag that is made specifically to fit inside the Pelican case. The case made it through one trip to the mainland and the guns and optics weren't affected and you could tell that the case was banged up.

A lot of the ocean sports/surf store have them too, though I don't know how big you're looking for.  Go Bananas and Aquamarine, by Kmart, should have a few to check out and test.  I'd still just order it from online tho.

Pelican cases are well made and do what's advertised, but I never liked the latch design (new or old). If you're dead set on one, then Amazon will save you $30-50. Or you might consider a Boyt case...they're similar in construction and use an easier to use draw latch system that is all metal.

You're probably familiar with Pelican, so it might help your decision to 'play' with the Boyt cases at Sports Authority.
