For those of you who are Storefront gun dealers or planning to open a store front

Be Aware that as of June 20, 2013, Zoning Clearance FEES are INCREASING from $50 to $150

Even if the Bill is Not signed by the Mayor, it will go into effect on June 20.

This will affect present shops, ONLY if they plan to close their present location and move to another different location.

New dealers who want to Open a new storefront will also pay the fee.

I DO NOT KNOW THE HISTORY OF THIS FEE INCREASE. 

Or Who or Why it even exists.

My friendly City contact just informed me

The Department involved is Dept of Planning and Permitting.

DO NOT harrass them.  AFAIK, it is a surprise to them too. 

The people to "talk" to is the Council people, someone there must know why.

Or it may be just another way for the City to make money.
