I'm older and have a hard time getting my iron sights on those small targets even at 50 yards. I put scopes or red dots on almost everything I take to the metal side. However, it is fun and a huge challenge to try and hit small things out to 75 and 100 yards using iron sights. So I bring a varied mix of guns with and without a scope/red dot. I always take a big revolver out there. If you have one it is a lot of fun to really ring those plates. Bring extra .22 ammo. I always bring about 500 rounds and usually shoot around 400+. Go out and set up during the cold line. Have lots of fun!

I shoot there a lot. Message me, i may go there this Sunday as well. I use scopes. It is 50, 75 and 100 meters. If you shoot the metallic falling targets, it is common courtesy to go out and help stand them up on a cease fire.

Traffic is all FUBAR'd coming from my side of the island. because of the ProBowl. Thought I'd hit the range today as I figure most shooters will be WATCHING the ProBowl but I guess most people are DRIVING to the game!

kokohead yesterday was the busiest I've seen it in a while
parking was full
waiting list at rifle side for 45 minutes at 10:00am
still had waiting list into the afternoon when i left after 2:00
but was sunny, wind was minimal, a good day.

last weekend was busy too.seeing a lot of hunters sighting in.Its deer season boys!!

I was at the bullseye pistol range for the first relay.  They had an NRA match that took up the whole left side, so the right side was packed.  That was actually a good thing about the pistol match as they had more frequent target changes so that they could score their targets. 

The rifle range was even more packed.  I heard that the waiting list was something like 2 hours!  When I left at around 10 am, the list was about 5 deep.  The parking lot was pretty packed though.

I was thinking the same thing.  People needed to get their fix in or work on whatever they needed to work on.  When I was talking story with my friend on the rifle side, I saw lots of people shooting bolt guns.  Maybe sighting in or other prep for hunts later this year.
