Just bought a scope for the wifey's .22.  Its a simmson brand scope.  Hopefully  I get the chance to zero it in this weekend.  Was going to get one for the Savage but didn't have any mounts for it.  Anyone knows who carries it?

Brought it to the range last weekend.  The savage was pretty accurate with just the iron sites.  Aimed for center mass and the rounds were landing on the top right.  Then started aiming at the bottom left then started hitting center mass.  Was fun and i got tired after 50 rounds.  I'll be looking around for a scope.

Do you know what kind of mount I have to use to put a scope on?  I got pre drilled wholes on the gun.

Savage may have had something in mind when they added those holes.  I went online to Savage, downloaded a manual for a MKII.  On p.9 they list manufacturers who make bases and rings for the rifle (the bases are all that would be unique).  The manufacturers include Weaver, Burris, Kwik-Site, Millett, B-Square and Leupold.

It really shouldn't take a lot of looking to find these bases, as popular as the MKII is.  Call Young Guns, Kaneohe Gun Shop, and Windward Gun Shop.  If they don't have one sitting on the shelf, just run a Google search.
The difference between theory and reality is that, in theory, there is no difference between theory and reality.

duh! hehe should have know that.  thanks tomg for the info.  also, i was wondering if u ever ran into the problem of the mags dubble feeding?  and when it does that it caused the rounds to pop out.
