Wow,  that's your prerogative, don't think anyone interjected any 'hyperbole' nor 'assumptions' here...  The Left is pretty clear about what they will do to 2A, more honest about it that ever before.

A leader can be an ass, if he leads to the betterment of the goal.  Being an ass and taking the lead, one has nothing to do with the other.    A nice word before you plunge off a cliff doesn't do much good.
