Passed the House, onto the Senate.
I’ve seen someone say that we need 8 Dems to vote with us in order to pass.

The vote tally was 231-198.  That's 33 more votes for than against.

There are 240 Republicans in the House and 193 Democrats.  That's 47 more Republicans.

He's talking about the Senate where the filibuster will require 60 votes, and there are 52 Republicans.

I read the Senate version has enough votes to override a filibuster.  Don't know about the House version.

Keep in mind that there are really only 8 states that are truly gun nazis.  There are many democrat senators in states that have favorable CCW laws and that are aware that their constituents are best served by passing this law.

. In 2013, in a vote that received limited attention amid a more prominent fight over tightening background check laws, 13 Democrats voted for a version of Cornyn’s bil (Concealed carry reciprocity)l. Seven of those senators — Jon Tester of Montana; Joe Manchin of West Virginia; Joe Donnelly of Indiana;  Heidi Heitkamp of North Dakota; Martin Heinrich and Tom Udall of New Mexico; and Mark Warner of Virginia — remain in office.

Not as good as the House version, leaves out too much in the way of protections for the citizens, IMHO.

Would like to see a provision that permits residents of a state that have a non resident permit from another state to carry regardless if thier home state is May issues not no issue or did I miss something?

The home state must be may issue.   The law makers figured it would be a non issue since all the state's need to be at least a may issue

Some tidbits

18 rep senators from CC states
34 rep senators from shall issue states
6 dem senators from CC states
24 dem senators from shall issue states
16 dem senators from May issue states  (like hawaii)

Unless the dems all vote along party lines, and against tree own residents benefits,  they should be able to pull 8 if them to vote for hr38

I called his office and told the girl there to read the comments on Hanabusa's FB page.  99% support HR38 even though her post was about not supporting it.  I also told her that Brian represents the people and the people have spoken.

Tons of people flaming her use of body guards with cc.

Just yesterday, two drug crazed psychos duct taped up a little girl, and beat her mother to death with a baseball bat, as she was working, cleaning a rental home on the north shore.

This incident may or may not have had a better outcome with CCW in Hawaii, but if it were me, I would want that option of self protection.
