Parts kits stored as complete guns!  :thumbsup:
2=1, 1=0   :geekdanc:
Last carbine class someones gas rings failed.
Though they had an extra set in their grip, they opted to grab theirback up AR and not miss a beat of class time.
Keep a few springs, pins, firing pin, , firing pin retainer, extractor, spring and buffer kit in your AR grips as these are the most common "wearable" parts.
Of course,  having a full assortment of repair parts for all of your firearms at home or BOL is smart. :geekdanc:

In the class with you, the comp on one gun worked loose and the the bolt catch detent caused a minor issue in another gun. In a past class on the mainland, the safety lever/key broke off. That’s just on my stuff and I don’t buy cheaper stuff.

I’ve seen a bunch of quality gear fail. Aimpoints, Trijicons, etc. Those were at start of multi day carbine classes, so that would’ve sucked. The optic of my backup gun helped those guys.
