"no dispute" = "settled science"

If ya'll started punching out your arguments in Caps, it might be more believable and settled.

I think someone needs to look up the word "dispute".

Quote
noun
1. a disagreement, argument, or debate.
"a territorial dispute between the two countries"
synonyms:   debate, discussion, discourse, disputation, argument, controversy, contention,
disagreement, altercation, falling-out, quarreling, variance, dissension, conflict, friction, strife,
discord, antagonism;

It's rare to see protests over "no dispute".  It's also rare to see someone argue "there is no dispute" over facts that, if true, would have resolved the entire issue of Hawaiian annexation long ago.

Obviously, there IS a dispute.  That's the only fact over which THERE IS NO DISPUTE.
The reasonable man adapts himself to the world;
the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.

Hawaii could be at the forefront of discoveries such as this....

But I fear now Hawaiians  will become the butt of jokes in the scientific community. >:(

I think the Hawaiian protesters are just against any project that must be built on land in Hawaii. And I do agree that TMT is a great long term undertaking which will provide jobs and remove the other smaller Telescopes up on the mountain. It's a good clean tradeoff.  Rather see one big one than 5 smaller ones up there. Also, the Governor is really sitting on the fence on this one. He claimed to be Pro science and education and now he is sympathizing with the protesters. His Liberal colors are showing big time.
The Hawaiians should be using their energy to get the Hawaiian home lands that they were promised many moons ago. That is more important than protesting TMT. They should be pushing OHA and the State to get it together and issue out the land they were promised for  1 dollar a yr leases. This would allow Hawaiian families to build their own homes  and have a stable place. It is a shame that many generations have died waiting for their home lands to be issued.

Illegal or legal it doesn't even matter USA won and Hawaii is ours. You can assimilate or fight there are your two options. Every country in the entire world was formed the same way.  One country makes some excuse and takes over another's land or finds land to take over.

Well, there seems to be significant disagreement (aka "dispute") about whether "hawaiian" means blood/DNA race, ethnicity, or "nationality" (descendant of a citizen of the "nation of Hawaii" (aka "kingdom"/"republic"). They conveniently pick and choose which one is appropriate for whatever special race-based, ethnicity-based, or nationality-based special privileges they claim entitlement to in a particular context. Very convenient indeed.

Sorry; the US was a country built on a system of the rule of law (i.e., Constitution, Bill of Rights), despite the many imperialists, globalists, fascists, liberals, and other domestic enemies that infiltrated its levels of government and wreck terror and violence within its own borders and the rest of the World.

Why don't you exercise your freedom of speech and just come out and say how you truly feel that you and some others on this forum simply JUST HATE HAWAIIANS.

That shows how stupid and/or deluded you are. In this case in the sense of making completely false assumptions and allowing those false assumptions to be a premise in your following arguments (as we see in virtually everything else you post about the "illegal annexation" etc.), thus invalidating the entire argument that follows the false premise.

I don't "hate Hawaiians". You are 100% wrong, lying, full of shit, or all three. Apparently in your feeblemindedness brought on by who knows what (hawaiian sovereignty syndrome?), you, like so many on the socialist left, can't imagine that someone can vehemently disagree with someone without that person being "racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic — Islamophobic — you name it". Thus "deplorable". You apparently, like the person using those terms originally, are that stupid and incapable of tolerating dissent from your vaunted holy orthodoxy.

I vehemently disagree with all kinds of people... including those who generally I have a lot of overlap of values and beliefs. I vehemently disagree with many libertarians who espouse certain libertarian policies. I vehemently disagree with Trump and his administration on some policies. I vehemently disagree with some Second Amendment rights advocates on certain issues. Etc., etc., etc. In the case above where you shout "racist" due to being triggered by any opposition to what are actually your racist policies and beliefs, the fact is I oppose the ideas and criminality of those people completely 100% independent of whatever race, ethnicity or nationality they claim. They are simply wrong about the facts and wrong about the values and wrong about breaking the law based upon those values and claiming special-privilege immunity from the laws. If there was a purple Martian saying the same stupid stuff and engaging in criminality, I'd have the exact same comments directed at it, but not because it's a purple Martian, but because it was making false statements and arguments and breaking the law.

So, nothing new, you are a liar.

Now, when are you going to give us the simple yes or no answer as to whether you stand by your claim that "there is no dispute" regarding the entire "annexation" thing?

When are you going to provide us with your credentials that would validate your expertise, which is your own stated criteria for making any relevant statements about the whole of the "annexation" etc. issues?

Stop using the protests against TMT as well as your unending attacks against recognizing the illegal of overthrow of Hawaii by the US in 1898 as a cover for what really in the basis for all your posts against TMT and myself.

YOU HATE HAWAIIANS!!!

Your emotionally charged posts filled with violent hate harangues and name calling are a dead giveaway.

Please explain another option that is not related.  FYI arguing some random point from the past about legality is "fighting"

I hate to break it to you but every country bends/breaks the rule of law,  hell us rebelling against Britain was "unlawful" and that founded our country.

I don't hate Hawaiians.
I wish some didn't use race based adjectives in their quest to discredit me or silence my opinion.
I've been called of "Asian privilege" even though I am mixed. People don't bother to ask.

Yes.  You did.

By saying "you and some others on this forum simply JUST HATE HAWAIIANS.,"  you're leaving it up to us to interpret who you're accusing of hatred.

Nothing about you excites me.  Just calling "balls and strikes" as I see them.

Once again, you ignore the comment only to insult the commenter.
