Trying to load some of my projectiles I've had for a while. 158 grain lswc and LRN.
Reload today, unload this weekend  :shaka:

A buddy just gave me 3 unopened bottles of Unique, dating back to Y2K (remember that?  Lol--only time I had every magazine loaded).

So, guess what I'm loading for all of my rounds, except for HBWCs (heads).

SEC is completely out of SPP--some jerk went in and bought 6K, almost everything they had. :wtf:

Also saw some guy buy 10+ bricks of .22 LR.

NO 9mm or .223 at all.

I'm glad I reload.

I try and get ahead with my reloading so I can reload today and unload over the next few weeks. My goal is to have 1k rounds of the calibers I shoot most often. That way I can shoot a couple hundred here and there and still have some for the next trip to the range. I am so tied up right now doing a deal in the housing market in Phoenix that I don’t have time to reload and I am shooting more than I am reloading currently.

I reload using the 158gr LSWC for 357 and 38. I like the hole they punch in my targets. Actually, in my 38 I have been testing 148gr LWC and they punch such a clean hole that it doesn’t look like a bullet hole. That boolit over TB is very light shooting and quite accurate out my 3” barrel. And I have been experimenting with the powder coated boolits as well. Just as accurate and a lot less smoke.

I’m getting too far behind in reloading right now. I have about 800 9mm and 200 357 waiting for me to get back to work.   I guess that is a good problem to have.

They kept that on the label even after transferring it from an IMR powder to a Hodgdon’s powder. I am VERY surprised that no one else is trying to copy TB and get in on that market. TB is one of those powders that disappears pretty quickly in a panic buying situation. I also like TB as a smokeless replacement for black powder cartridges or use in guns with weaker actions due to older manufacture. I have a few rifles like that and I usually load both TB and light loads using IMR4198 or H4895.

TB is one of my go to powders for cowboy loads in my revolvers.  that marketing slogan "preferred powder of sheriffs and outlaws" is a good one.  it makes loading low power loads a cool thing to do.  :shaka:
last time I went to SEC about a week ago, looked like they restocked on powder recently.  it looked pretty full.  they only had match primers in small pistol so I got that, and they had small rifle primers so I got a brick of that too.  i'm pretty stocked up on reloading stuff.  i'm over the limit of my storage areas at home, now I need to get to reloading!   O0

There was a point in time that powder was extremely hard to find. But now not so much. Primers are still tough to find. But I pushed the limits of my credit cards and had a bunch shipped here before they completely disappeared. So I think I’m sitting pretty good right now for primers and powder. But if this goes on much past a year I may have to start cutting back.

I’ve got more storage than I know what to do with right now. So if you want to store anything ammunition at my house, feel free to send it over here!

Before I left the island one of my bruddahs gave me two containers of 38/357 boolits that were cast by someone who didn’t know how to cast very well. They lubed them using some sticky gooey messy lube. And they kept some very poorly cast examples that should have been thrown back in the pot as melted back down. I got them for free so I thought I’d load ‘em and choot ‘em. I have been using them up and I loaded the last of them today. I loaded them into 38’s over TB. As bad as they looked and as messy as they are they shot pretty good overall. I found a mold that looks exactly like them (both 158gr SWC and 148gr WC) so I’ll be casting them soon and powder coating them myself. I’ve gotten pretty good at casting but I am still having some issues maintaining the right temperatures.
