Marukai near OCCC.
They also carry a great selection of sushi ingredients.  :thumbsup:

Nice, I think the wife just renewed the membership so I'll take a look.  Haven't even bothered to go in the cooler section in a long time.

Where's the best place to buy fresh fish nowadays?
===========
I pass by this place called "Poke By The Pound" on the way to work.
It's at Nimitz and Kalihi st.
I tried most all their poke (it's fresh local) and their recipes are ok.
Like most places, I feel that they put too much sesame oil.
Prices are a little high, IMHO

$13 is on the high side for them, but think it’s $19-20 for ahi steaks I think the store and unknown shelf time.

I ordered two ahi slabs for a friend and one for me. This was the highest price I’ve seen from them. It usually sells out in about and hour, so surprised that it’s still available.

Sashimi grade ahi for $12/lb. Melts in the mouth.

https://shop.gvisfd.com/collections/all/products/ahi

My favorite to get are 3 dozen oysters for $50. Currently sold out but they always get them in weekly.
