How does that compare to the stainless ruger with volquartsen llv upper.  That currently is my dreamish 22lr pistol goal. I was looking into the S&W options.  Not sure what is peak performance so only one to blame for poor shooting is myself lol
Dunno anything about that upper, or Ruger and S&W .22 lr pistols in general.  Gotta ping the SMEs here.

My opinion, pick up a variety of firearms and SHOOT!  I mean get all of the high value firearms that meets your heart's desire.  That said, you need to get to shooting.  I can appreciate wanting the best for "peak performance" to remove the variable that it is equipment related.  But in general, the majority of quality firearms will be capable of way more than you are (same for me for that matter).

Makes my dad's MKI Target look pretty plain.
Is it any more accurate?

Bucket list?

Hmm. . .

Nighthawk or Wilson Combat 1911 9 mm and .45 ACP
M1A
Winchester lever action .357 Mag Octagonal barrel
Agency Arms Glock
Colt SAA

Realistic?  I would say 50/50.  I am completely happy with what I've got currently.  At least for now.  That may change next week.  :P

me too. I am very satisfied with what I have. my revolver collection is pretty good, but theres a few that I would add to it, maybe a Dirty Harry model 29 would be nice.  I have a 629, but its not the same as the 29
I would like a Nighthawk or Wilson or Les Baer or Dan Wesson 1911, but I am very satisfied with my Springfield Operator and Long Beach Operator and Elite operator.  they all shoot great.  I probably wont get a custom 1911 unless I get an offer I cant refuse
I've always wanted a Python.  realty happy i'm getting one soon.  although its not the OG Python, I think it'll suit my needs just fine
one revolver that I think is realistic for me is the S&W 460.  I like the versatility of this gun and its not crazy expensive, but its not cheap either

i'm not sure how it compares to earlier Mark models bc I've never shot one before
the Mark IV is pretty accurate.  its my new favorite plinker.  its only a couple months old or less and already put several hundred rounds through it.  very dependable only 1 ftf but I think I didn't push the ammo all the way into the mag so was my fault not the gun.  and the take down is super easy.  1 button take down, take off upper, remove bcg

I thought you picked up one recently?  Or is that because it's still in "registration limbo"?   :(

Woohoo!!!

This will certainly be a very interesting month or so.  Both firearms item buying (Black Friday sales) and see what develops otherwise.

I've come to be "it is what it is", might as well enjoy what I've got.

You're on a fixed income, so I'll let you "start discussions" for a beer.  Due when we shoot together again.   ;D
