...
To clarify, I'm not seeking a new woman. One was plenty enough. "Fool me once....etc..

Yeah, the only reason I would marry again is if she's already mega-rich.  Too many woman are looking for financial support above all else.  I've seen reposts of many women's profiles on dating sites saying "broke-asses need not bother."  Looks like there are guys on these apps looking for sugar mamas, so i guess the game is equally populated with those looking to be supported from both sexes.

Decades ago, the joke was , "Women marry the first time for a car, second time for a house, and third time for love."

It sounds like many took that joke to be a life plan.

Nothing but Love, Honor, and Respect for these families.

Just like their loved one, they have given the ultimate sacrifice.

To these families, I salute you.

I love cookies!  Especially home-made ones. :thumbsup:

National Vegetarian Day

Yeah.  Same here.  I love veggies but I just can't eat it and not eat anything else.  I like variety in my diet.  Meat and veggies.  Seafood and veggies.

But just veggies?  Nah.

I had to laugh.  Then cry.  Well, actually no tears but felt like it.

 I noticed some violence in the news here in Honolulu over the weekend.
Ironically, one of the most peaceful and happy places to go this weekend was the gun show.

OK then...continuing on---

Today is Alvin C. York Day
A WW1 war hero

=========
He received the Medal of Honor for leading an attack on a German machine gun nest, gathering 35 machine guns,
killing at least 25 enemy soldiers and capturing 132 prisoners.
York's Medal of Honor action occurred during the United States-led portion of the Meuse–Argonne offensive.
=============

It's also WORLD OCTOPUS DAY
for you guys who like poke squid

He also was a member of the "All American" 82nd Infantry.  All American because they boasted having soldiers from all 48 States of the Union.  They became the 82nd Airborne Division in 1942.

Also it was common for a Taran-Taran soldier to be compared to this WW1 Hero.  We used to tell show-offs "Eh Brah, who you tink you?  Sgt. York?" :rofl:

Also I love to eat squid.  Couldn't for the life of me see them when we used to dive for them as kids.

Sure as hell won't see them now. :rofl:

I bring this up because a lot of young folks don't know about these legendary heroes.
Heroism in battle is not celebrated in this day and age.
If he did this today, he might be prosecuted for war crimes.
It is a sad statement on the status of American values nowadays.
