From the parking lot downstairs me & a military guy (very humble guy) who just moved here from Alaska talking stories walked straight to the counter no 1 in line @ 9:55am. He told me to go 1st since I only had 1 rifle. He had 2 rifles, 4 pistols to register. I was in & out 10-15 minutes

Glad to hear...I tell people all the time that not all of us military guys are jerks!

This guy was soo kool, he was originally from Maryland. We had a good conversation, he asked about gun stores & ranges so I told him where to go. When I left I shaked his hand & told him hope everything works out for him here then thanked him for serving this country.

I think I saw you guys downstairs while I exited the elevator.   You guys were talking it up, like good friends.   :shaka:

Hey guys, when is EXACTLY the parking in front of HPD ok to park?

I got a ticket once there. First time, doh!

The signs seem a bit confusing and contradictory.

Start Long gun renewal at 1230. One guy finishing up at window, another guy finishing up paperwork. I was the only other guy there....out in about 15-20 minutes.

I am one of the idiots who attempted to apply for a permit at 3:20 pm. today and found the door to the registration room closed and a 8" x 11" sign on the wall saying that if you're not in the double doors by 3, you're screwed.

Got there at 11:00, 3 guys waiting inside and I'm 3rd in line.  Registered my pistol and I was out the door at 11:40.

Got there at 8:30 a.m. today (Fri 7/26).  No parking in the underground parking lot so I went around the front and found a couple of open spots. Three dudes were standing outside of the inner door with about 4 guys standing/sitting in the room. Renewed my LG permit and applied for a handgun permit inside of 21 minutes.

Is it another 14 day wait for renewing? Also is there a fee?

Thanks

Yup, LG renewal has a 14 day waiting period.  No new fee.  Cannot renew more than 14 days in advance of current LG permit expiration.  Bring your old permit when you renew.

According to the sign, it's No Parking between the hours of 6:30 am to 8:30 am & 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

Lucky you didn't get towed.
