The problem with that presumption is that Russia or any other OPEC nation for that matter do not have a history of blowing up their own pipelines which are those countries primary source of income.  Those who do sabotage and/or destroy oil and natural gas pipelines do so as an act of war or terrorism in order to stop that resource flow to prevent the exporting nation from earning money and wreak havoc on those who need those resources.

Once a commodity becomes scarce, the price goes up multiple times as those willing and able to purchase bid on the remaining product.  Unless there's a cheaper source to compete, the prices are controlled by the producers.  It's why it's so important for the US to maintain the energy independence path Trump set us moving along.

OPEC is once again announcing cuts to production.  Expect gas prices to soar in late 2022 and all of 2023.  And since almost all goods and services in the US depend on energy for production and distribution, inflation will also rise making everything cost more.

This is the scenario we were warned about during the 1970s and Carter's fuel shortages.

That's the question that I have been sharing my take in my posts on this thread.

From my standpoint, the US empire is purposely preventing Russia oil from reaching Europe via sabotaging the Nordstream pipelines in order to keep Europe as a vassal state economically dependent on the US empire, while at the same time gouging Europe with high-cost US imperial energy exports in lieu of Russian natural gas.

Furthermore, it is the US empire that is willing to exacerbate the current global recessionary forces in the delusional and futile hope by egging on more global economic hardships, it will deprive Russia energy revenue as well as somehow derail Chinese economic growth.

Suffice-to-say, the recent agreements among OPEC as well as the expansion of BRICS along with the Global South and Africa are nevertheless moving towards a multipolar World not dictated or dominated by the US empire.

What if it was Poland working in concert with the UK?

The good news is there appears to be a military back channel between the US and Russia, which is why they haven’t launched a counter offensive to take our satellites or something.

It was a bold experiment that brought an unprecedented era of prosperity while it lasted. Unfortunately we didn’t keep up with the maintenance.
